Helping Paws

PGI has partnered with Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln, IL and their Helping Paws training program.  Helping Paws is an Illinois Correctional Industries program, known as ICI. The money for Helping Paws comes from the ICI’s sales from their successful furniture making, meat and milk processing, and printing.  The funds allow select prisoners to train PGI puppies, and each trainer receives a certificate from the Department of Labor to help in their job search after release. This training program has allowed PGI to expand the amount of dogs we have in the program and have targeted training conducted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
